The VOBIS Silver program (formerly Super VOBIS) is designed to reward those who invest in Victorian bred horses as it offers lucrative rewards for nominators, owners, trainers and jockeys.
By nominating a horse into the VOBIS Silver program you are eligible to receive a nominator’s bonus when the horse places in an eligible race.
The VOBIS Silver bonus structure across all two and three-year-old TAB races in Victoria is as follows:
– Metropolitan Saturday races: $30,000 – Metropolitan Weekday races: $15,000 – Country races: $12,000 – Group and Listed races: $10,000 nominator bonus only

Nominations for VOBIS Silver are open from March as weanlings and are open through to 30 May as yearlings.

Eligibility for VOBIS Silver is based on one of the following: Victorian Sired Category A When a Yearling is sired by a Stallion which stood in Victoria during the breeding season in which it was conceived. Victorian Breedback Category B A foal whose dam was served by a stallion which stood in Victoria during the following year’s breeding season. Victorian Breeder Category C When a Yearling is not eligible for Category A or B and is at least 50% owned by a Victorian based breeder(s) at the time of the foal’s birth. In addition, the Foal and Dam must each have resided in Victoria for at least six (6) continuous months after the foal was born until the close of nomination. A Veterinary Declaration Form which can be downloaded below is a simple solution to substantiate Category C eligibility.
