The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board is an independent Board set up to hear and determine appeals from decisions of the stewards and to also hear and determine breaches of certain serious offences under the Rules of Racing.
Appeals Procedure
Appeals to the RAD Board must be lodged no later than 5pm three calendar days (not business days) after the day on which the person receives notice of the decision.

EXCEPT between Caulfield Guineas Day and Emirates Stakes Day where it must be lodged by 5pm on the SECOND calendar day following the day of the decision.

Please use the following form when lodging an appeal:

Application - Notice of Appeal
Appeals against fines of not more than $250
Where a decision of the Stewards is to impose a fine of not more than $250 the appellant must apply in writing to the Racing Integrity Commissioner by 5pm on the third day following the day they receive notice of the decision they would like to appeal.

The Commissioner will only direct the RAD Board to hear the appeal if it is considered to be in the public interest for the appeal to be heard and these time requirements are met.
