Racing Victoria (RV) has today advised the Kilmore meeting programmed for Monday, 10 October has been transferred to Racing.com Park (Synthetic) due to the state of the track as a result of ongoing rainfall.
The decision was made following a track inspection by RV Stewards at Kilmore Racetrack today, which determined that it would not be in a suitable condition to conduct racing next week.
The track has received approximately 70mm of rain over the past seven days, on top of an already heavy track. RV Stewards determined there was no prospect of the track drying out in time to stage the meeting. Other venues in the region were considered, but to give participants surety, the meeting will be transferred to the synthetic at Pakenham.
As a result of the change to a synthetic surface, nominations for this meeting will be re-opened until midday tomorrow Thursday 6 October, with weights released tomorrow afternoon. Acceptances will now be taken at 9am on Friday 7 October.
