The Racing Appeals and Disciplinary (RAD) Board has this afternoon handed down its penalties in the matter involving licensed trainer Brian Cox and his veterinarian Dr Robert Fielding.
Mr Cox has been disqualified for a total of three years and six months, effective from midnight on 6 December 2016, for eight breaches of the Australian Rules of Racing.
Pursuant to Australian Rule of Racing 196(6)(b), Mr Cox must not start a horse in any race from the date of the RAD Board’s decision, 29 November 2016, until the expiration of the period of disqualification.
Dr Robert Fielding has been reprimanded and fined a total of $20,000 for two breaches of the Australian Rules of Racing.
The date for Dr Fielding’s payment is stayed for a period of 28 days and thus is due and payable on Tuesday, 27 December 2016.
