Racing Victoria’s Integrity Services Department has been made aware that products containing altrenogest may contain levels of trenbolone and or trendione, which are banned substances with extended detection times.
Further work, including liaising with the manufacturers, is being undertaken to clarify the situation.
RV will provide the results of this further work as soon as they are available.
Until further notice, trainers and veterinarians are advised to immediately stop the use of products that contain altrenogest.
