All Star Mile Provisional Acceptances

Racing Victoria (RV) advises that it has today completed the provisional acceptance stage for the inaugural $5 million The All-Star Mile at Flemington on Saturday, 16 March 2019.

Under the conditions of entry for the world’s richest mile, RV wrote to the connections of the top 24 ranked horses on Friday, 15 February seeking confirmation by today on whether they wish to provisionally accept a position in the race if voted into the top 10 by the public.

The Chris Waller stable has advised RV that they will not be accepting a position with The Autumn Sun and thus he has been officially withdrawn this afternoon.

The connections of all other horses in contention for the top 10 have indicated their intention to accept a position within the race.

The top 10 votegetters following the provisional acceptance stage and the verification of all votes will be announced at Flemington Racecourse at 10.30am this Thursday, 21 February.

Those fans who submitted an eligible vote for The Autumn Sun remain in contention for the $500,000 prizemoney pool on offer for the public.

Those eligible voters will be placed in the second chance draw for the opportunity to be named the Owner Ambassador for one of the wildcard entries to be announced on or before Monday, 4 March.
