Racing Victoria (RV) stewards wish to advise that after the successful completion of gallops on Tuesday, Ballarat has been passed suitable to resume racing on Monday, 11 March after the completion of works on the track.
Works on the turf track commenced following Ballarat Cup Day on 24 November 2018 which saw a section re-cambered, with the additional width and camber improving the outer circuit significantly.
A total of 32 horses galloped over the re-cambered section of the track yesterday in preparation for the upcoming race meeting, with positive feedback received from riders, stewards and track staff.
Works on the installation of the Ballarat synthetic track are continuing ahead of the first scheduled meeting on 17 May 2019.
