Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the meeting scheduled at bet365 Geelong on Monday, 6 August has been transferred to bet365 Echuca.
Geelong Racecourse has received over 250mm of rain since the start of May, which has resulted in the last three meetings held on 14 June, 28 June and 12 July being run on Heavy 9 or 10 tracks.
Given the Geelong Racing Club will host a further four meetings across August and September in the lead-up to the Geelong Cup on Wednesday, 23 October, it is in the best interests to transfer Monday’s meeting in order to give the track time to recover.
