Racing Victoria (RV) stewards acting under AR68(3) have this afternoon instated the Paul Perry-trained Roman Candle as an original entry for the $2 million AAMI Victoria Derby (2500m) at Flemington on 2 November 2019.
A stewards investigation has determined that the Perry stable phoned Racing Australia (RA) on 24 September 2019 and requested that Roman Candle be nominated for the race, however stablemate Reuben James was wrongly entered by the RA operator.
Stewards have further ordered the withdrawal of Reuben James from the nominations.
