Following the declaration of a State of Disaster for Wangaratta Rural Shire, Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the race meeting scheduled at Wangaratta Turf Club on Monday (6 January) has been transferred to Echuca Racing Club.
With the racecourse at Wangaratta being made available for owners of horses and livestock to feed and water their animals, the decision to transfer the meeting was taken in the best interests of local residents and racing participants.
The meeting will still commence at 1.30pm, with the last of eight races scheduled to start at 5pm. As a result of the transfer, the distance and field size of some races has been amended.
