Racing Victoria (RV) has today provided an important update regarding Super VOBIS in light of the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
RV have elected to extend this year’s Super VOBIS nomination deadline for 2018-born foals from Thursday, 30 April to Friday, 31 July 2020.
This new date also takes into account the recent postponement of the Inglis Melbourne Gold Sale to 12 and 13 July 2020 and the Inglis Great Southern Sale to 14 and 15 July 2020.
Racing Victoria (RV) EGM Racing, Greg Carpenter, said: “Whilst racing and training is currently permitted to continue in Victoria under strict biosecurity protocols, we understand that the pandemic has already placed considerable economic pressure on many owners and breeders.
“Thus, to ease the immediate burden in this period of uncertainty we have elected to extend this year’s nomination period for Super VOBIS.
“On behalf of RV, I want to thank owners and breeders for their ongoing support of Victorian racing and trust that it will continue with the Super VOBIS program which seeks to reward those who breed and race in Victoria.”
