Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the night meeting scheduled at Racing.com Park (Pakenham) on Thursday, 30 April will move from the synthetic to the turf track.
The decision to transfer was made following positive feedback received from industry participants that the turf track is in excellent condition and continues to perform well, with the Pakenham Racing Club (PRC) also in agreeance to run the meeting on turf.
RV and the PRC will monitor the turf track’s performance and the weather following the 30 April meeting before considering whether to transfer any of the Club’s remaining Thursday night meetings for the 2019-20 racing season, being 14 and 21 May, from synthetic to turf.
The only distance change as a result of the transfer is to the 1100m BM64 Handicap which has increased to 1200m due to the turf track not having an 1100m start.
