Tonight's Cranbourne meeting transferred to Pakenham synthetic

Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that tonight’s meeting at Cranbourne (Friday, 1 May) has been transferred to the synthetic track at Racing.com Park (Pakenham) owing to wet weather.

Following an inspection this morning, the Cranbourne track was deemed unsuitable for racing after receiving 9mm of rain overnight and a further 5mm this morning, taking the total for the last 7 days to 67mm.

As a result, the decision has been made to transfer the meeting to the synthetic surface at Pakenham.

The only distance changes as a result of the transfer are to the 2025m Fillies and Mares BM70 Handicap and the 2025 BM64 Handicap which will both increase to 2200m. There are no changes to field limits.

All scratchings from the meeting will also be reinstated with trainers having until 11:30am this morning to scratch.
