Racing Victoria (RV) Stewards have been advised by Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL) that Zilpaterol was not detected in the out of competition samples obtained from the international visiting horses from the Aidan and Joseph O’Brien stables on Monday, 9 October 2020.
Following recent reports that feed used by both of the O’Brien stables in Ireland was found to be contaminated with Zilpaterol, RV Stewards sought to determine whether the 10 horses from the two stables which arrived in Melbourne last weekend for the Spring Racing Carnival were affected.
The six horses from the Aidan O’Brien stable who tested free of Zilpaterol were Anthony Van Dyck, Armory, Magic Wand, Tiger Moth, Santiago and Wichita. The four horses from the Joseph O’Brien stable who tested free of Zilpaterol were Buckhurst, Master of Reality, Pondus and Twilight Payment.
