Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the meeting scheduled at Hamilton tomorrow, Saturday 10 October 2020, will be moved to Wednesday, 14 October following heavy rainfall in the area.
The Stewards inspected the track today with the surface too wet to conduct tomorrow’s meeting following a further 15mm of rain overnight. Given the improved forecast over the coming days it is expected the track will dry out and be in a position to safely race on Wednesday.
Alternate tracks were considered for a potential transfer, however with most Clubs in the South West and Wimmera regions having received heavy rainfall this week there was no suitable Club to host the meeting tomorrow.
Nominations for the meeting will be reopened and will close at 10am tomorrow (Saturday, 10 October), with all trainers needing to renominate for Wednesday’s meeting.
Weights will be published tomorrow afternoon and acceptances will close on Monday, 12 October at 9:30am.
Final acceptors for tomorrow’s Hamilton meeting will also get preference in the ballot for Wednesday.
