All-Star Mile veterinary examinations

Racing Victoria (RV) veterinarians have today inspected 12 of the 15 starters and two of the three remaining emergencies for this Saturday’s $5 million The All-Star Mile (1600m) at The Valley to determine their suitability to race.

The following horses were passed suitable to race upon inspection: Sir Dragonet, Streets of Avalon, Mr Quickie, Star of the Seas, Mugatoo, The Harrovian, Russian Camelot, Probabeel, Greysful Glamour, Lunar Fox, Fifty Stars (first emergency) and So Si Bon (second emergency).

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Shout The Bar will be re-examined by RV veterinarians tomorrow morning (Friday, 13 March) after the mare displayed 2 out of 5 lameness in her off foreleg.

The Grant and Alana Williams-trained Arcadia Queen shifted a plate this morning and was found to be 1 out of 5 lame in her off foreleg in her subsequent examination. The mare has been re-shod and will also be re-examined tomorrow morning by RV veterinarians to determine her suitability to race.

Behemoth, Regalo Di Gaetano and Still A Star, all of whom are yet to arrive from interstate, and the remaining third emergency Affair to Remember, will be inspected by RV stewards tomorrow.
