Monday's bet365 Park Kyneton abandoned
Racing Victoria (RV) advises that tomorrow’s meeting (Monday, 4 October) at bet365 Park Kyneton has been abandoned due to the state of the track owing to ongoing wet weather.
The Kyneton track was inspected by RV Stewards late this afternoon and was deemed unsuitable for racing after considerable rain over recent days. A further 8-15ml is forecast prior to the scheduled commencement of the race meeting.
RV explored a number of turf transfer options in the north and west of the state, however there was nothing suitable to accommodate tomorrow’s meeting due to the impacts of rain this week; existing commitments with the racing calendar; and/or scheduled annual renovations.
RV will review the program over the next 24 hours and will look at scheduling an additional meeting in the next fortnight to assist those horses who are impacted by tomorrow’s abandonment.
