RV Stewards' Report - Gold Trip

Racing Victoria (RV) Stewards have received a report from RV Veterinary Services advising that imported galloper Gold Trip has undertaken his mandatory standing CT scan prior to his scheduled Australian debut in the Ladbrokes Cox Plate.

RV Veterinary Services have advised RV Stewards that the horse is permitted to continue with his campaign towards that race based on the results of the scan.

Gold Trip, who displayed some improvement in his condition across his first two weeks at WIHC, will continue to undergo bi-weekly inspections by RV Veterinary Services as occurs with all horses in training at the facility.

Beyond that, all Cox Plate starters are required to undergo a mandatory pre-race inspection by RV veterinarians on Thursday, 21 October or Friday, 22 October to ultimately determine their suitability to contest the race on Saturday, 23 October.
