Racing Victoria (RV) and the Sale Turf Club (STC) wish to advise that today’s Sale meeting (Sunday, 3 April 2022) has been abandoned due to the condition of the track.
Officials inspected the track this morning and deemed it unsuitable for racing.
The track has received 45mm of rain since Wednesday, with a further 40mm of rain forecast today.
RV’s racing operations team will consider the program early next week and advise if any changes will be made.
Any affected horses can be nominated as a late entry for the meeting at Ladbrokes Park (Sandown) on Wednesday (6 April) prior to 4pm today.
A further update will be provided on the rescheduling of the Good Friday Country Trainers 1500m Series heat scheduled to be run today.
