Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the race meetings scheduled at bet365 Park Wodonga (Saturday, 25 June) and Sportsbet-Ballarat (Sunday, 26 June) have been transferred owing to wet weather.
The bet365 Park Wodonga meeting has been transferred to bet365 Echuca (currently rated a Heavy 9) while the Sportsbet-Ballarat meeting will move to Donald racecourse (currently rated a Soft 6).
RV Stewards inspected the Wodonga and Ballarat tracks today (Wednesday) and determined the surfaces were not suitable for racing due to persistent rain.
With continuing rain forecast in Wodonga and Ballarat over the coming days, the decision has been taken to transfer both meetings in the interests of horse and participant safety.
Existing acceptance timelines apply with acceptances to be declared on Thursday, 23 June at 9am for Echuca and 9:15am for Donald.
Trainers who have already accepted for the above meetings but do not want to race at the new venues will need to withdraw their horse by 9am and 9.15am respectively tomorrow.
