The Compliance Assurance Team (CAT) key responsibilities are to apply and adjudicate upon the Australian and Local Rules of Racing; specifically at events that occur prior or subsequent to a race meeting under the regulatory control of Racing Victoria.

CAT operations include but are not limited to the following;

  • Investigations into integrity related breaches to Rules of Racing;
  • Racing Integrity Commissioner investigations;
  • Compile briefs of evidence for prosecution at the Racing and Disciplinary Board;
  • Coordinate Human and Equine sampling;
  • Conduct stable inspections and compliance;
  • Undertake surveillance operations;
  • Implementation of Stable Security measures;
  • Forensic monitoring and interpretation of betting activities;
  • Facilitate & regulate investigations into complaints received by Integrity Liaison position and Provide mediation services for industry-related matters, including ownership disputes.
