An investment fund has been established to meet the savings needs of jockeys.
All Jockeys riding throughout Australia are paid a Superannuation Guarantee of 11% on their Riding Fee and Official Trial fee. This will increase to 11.5% from 1 July 2024 and then to 12.0% effective 1 July 2025.
Victorian Jockeys can also elect to request that Racing Victoria withhold an amount between $10 and $50 from each race riding fee and have that amount directed to the VJA Voluntary Savings Fund. For more information, please contact Ron Hall (0411 646 160) or Matt Hyland (0408 753 951).
