Media representatives seeking to officiate at Victorian thoroughbred race meetings require accreditation which entitles access to restricted areas within the racecourse.
Racing Victoria is responsible for accrediting Journalists and Photographers for all Victorian thoroughbred race meetings, excluding some selected Spring Racing Carnival meetings for which media accreditation is managed by the host Club.
The application process for representatives seeking media accreditation for the 2020-21 racing season, being the period from 1 August 2020 to 31 July 2021, differs between Journalists and Photographers.

Please note that, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic and Racing Victoria’s necessary biosecurity protocols, the only media permitted to attend Victorian race meetings at this time are representatives of the official TV broadcasters (Racing.com and Channel 7) and the official industry photographers (Racing Photos).
