Racing Victoria (RV) and Racing WA have today announced a multi-year deal that will see Western Australian thoroughbred racing broadcast on Racing.com from next week.
Commencing with Northam on Wednesday, 2 July 2025, WA thoroughbred meetings will be broadcast nationally on all Racing.com channels, in a win for punters and racing enthusiasts.
Racing.com will integrate Racing WA’s broadcast of WA racing, including on-course hosts, pre and post-race analysis, into its existing broadcast alongside premium Victorian racing, as well as South Australia, Hong Kong and feature international meetings.
The announcement comes a fortnight after RV and the Seven Network announced a long-term extension and deepening of their broadcast partnership which will see Racing.com continue as Australia’s only 24/7 free-to-air sporting channel for another five years from 1 July 2025.
Racing.com is broadcast nationally on free-to-air Channel 78 (metropolitan) and Channel 68 (regional), streamed via 7plus, Kayo and Racing.com digital platforms, and shown on Foxtel subscription Channel 529.
RV Executive General Manager – Media, Content and Marketing, Andy Hoad said, “Racing.com plays a pivotal role showcasing Victorian thoroughbred racing nationally and our partnerships with other states helps to build audience and engagement through our breadth of content.
“We’re delighted to welcome WA thoroughbred racing onto Racing.com and we expect it to be embraced by punters nationwide, who can now continue to enjoy quality live racing once the action has finished on the east coast.
“Racing.com boasts an amazing suite of racing. From the very best Victoria has to offer, be that our Group 1s or beloved Country Cups, to elite racing from Hong Kong and the UK, through to all the great action from South Australia and now Western Australia.
“The team at Racing WA are great to work with. They have high production standards and our ability to tap into their quality pictures and insights makes this an efficient and exciting expansion for Racing.com.
“The Racing.com audience can be assured of a fantastic coverage from some spectacular racetracks in the west each Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday along with other selected days throughout the year.”
Racing WA Chief Racing Officer, David Hunter, said, “We’re thrilled to partner with Racing.com to further expose Western Australian thoroughbred racing to a national audience.
“Racing.com’s coverage of Victorian and South Australian racing is great, so we’re delighted to now join those states in showcasing the quality and diversity of WA racing to more viewers than ever before.
“From Kununurra in the State’s north to Albany more than 3550km south, WA’s racing landscape is truly unique and we’re confident Racing.com’s audience will enjoy every moment of it.”
In addition to Racing.com and 7plus, all WA thoroughbred meetings will continue to be streamed via racingwa.com.au and Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s TABtouch mobile app.
