Millions of reasons to upgrade

With less than three weeks remaining to upgrade two-year-olds to the VOBIS Gold and Platinum programs, Racing Victoria (RV) would like to remind owners of the benefits of the entire VOBIS scheme which offers up to $30 million in additional VOBIS prizemoney, bonuses and vouchers each season.

The three-tiered program comprises VOBIS Silver, VOBIS Gold and VOBIS Platinum, with VOBIS Gold and VOBIS Platinum upgrades for two-year-olds now open.

Provided your two-year-old has been nominated to VOBIS Silver, it can be upgraded to the VOBIS Gold program, providing access to $21 million in VOBIS prizemoney and bonuses. A one-off upgrade fee of $1,100 (INC GST) is all that is payable to upgrade your horse, securing its eligibility for lucrative VOBIS incentives for the rest of its racing career in Victoria.

The VOBIS Premier Race Series is exclusive to VOBIS Gold & VOBIS Platinum upgraded horses, offering $5.6 million on 17 races, with all races in the series now carrying VOBIS Silver bonuses, VOBIS Gold bonuses and VOBIS Platinum vouchers.

The VOBIS Platinum program is open exclusively to the progeny of VOBIS Sires stallions. Once a two-year-old by a VOBIS Sires stallion is upgraded to VOBIS Gold, it will automatically become VOBIS Platinum at no additional cost. VOBIS Platinum horses are eligible to compete in the $1 million VOBIS Platinum Showdown for two-year-olds and the $500,000 VOBIS Platinum Guineas for three-year-olds.        

An additional $7.5 million in VOBIS Platinum vouchers is also available for VOBIS Platinum horses, with $30,000 in VOBIS Platinum vouchers on offer to the eligible winners of more than 250 VOBIS Gold races programmed in Victoria each season.
