Monday’s Sale meeting transferred to Pakenham Synthetic

Racing Victoria (RV) and the Sale Turf Club (STC) advise that the Sale meeting this Monday, 5 October has been transferred to Southside Pakenham Synthetic due to wet weather.
The Sale course proper is unsuitable for racing having received 42mm of rain over the past 24 hours and with further significant rainfall predicted today and tomorrow, it is unlikely to improve sufficiently ahead of Monday’s meeting.
RV explored transferring the meeting to alternate turf venues, however was without any suitable options given the wet weather across the state and the upcoming schedule of meetings.
Acceptances have been extended until 10.30am TODAY for the Southside Pakenham Synthetic meeting with distances altered across the program as a result of the transfer.
Acceptances have also been extended until 10.45am for Tuesday’s Mildura meeting.
