Tonight’s The Valley @ Cranbourne meeting transferred to Pakenham Synthetic

Racing Victoria (RV), the Moonee Valley Racing Club (MVRC) and Southside Racing (SR) advise that tonight’s The Valley @ Southside Cranbourne meeting has been transferred to Southside Pakenham Synthetic due to wet weather.
The Cranbourne course proper is unsuitable for racing having received 40mm of rain over the past 24 hours and is unlikely to improve sufficiently ahead of tonight’s meeting.
RV explored transferring the meeting to alternate turf venues, however was without any suitable options given the wet weather across the state.
RV will continue to monitor the effects of wet weather at upcoming meetings over the weekend and early next week to determine if any further changes are required.
Scratchings will be reinstated for the Southside Pakenham Synthetic meeting with trainers now having until 8:30am TODAY to scratch their horse. There are also two distance changes required as a result of the transfer.
