With a raft of new sires adding further depth to Victoria’s thriving breeding scene, any owners with an unused VOBIS Platinum voucher are spoilt for choice should they choose to redeem it on the service fee of a VOBIS Sires stallion this season.

In a boon for local breeders, eleven new stallions including Australian Group 1 winners Celestial Legend (Woodside Park), Schwarz (Rosemont) and Southport Tycoon (Widden) have joined Victoria’s bustling ranks ahead of the new season.

Exciting shuttlers More Than Looks (Yulong) and Henry Longfellow (Rosemont) bring with them international bloodlines and add further intrigue to a Victorian breeding industry which by any metrics is currently enjoying a golden period.

To date, more than $1.1 million of the total $5.67 million awarded in VOBIS Platinum vouchers has been utilised to offset the service fee of a VOBIS Sires stallion. However, with more than $2 million in vouchers yet to be redeemed, broodmare owners currently have the perfect opportunity to make a significant saving once they select a suitable suitor.

Last season, owners took full advantage of the highest tier of the renowned VOBIS program as they took home more than $2 million in VOBIS Platinum vouchers, which in addition to service fees can also be redeemed on eligible lots at the yearling, weanling and Ready to Run sales.
