The Melbourne Inglis Premier Yearling Sale  runs from 3-5 March,  and there has never been a better time to buy an Inglis yearling. In addition to being a great source of quality racehorses, Inglis has introduced Inglis XTra Bonus, a $100,000 bonus for maidens who are graduates of the Inglis Sales.

The new concept will see the Inglis Race Series jump to $12.55m in the 2024/25 Australian racing season as all existing races – Inglis Millennium, Inglis Sprint, Inglis Banner, Inglis Nursery, Inglis Bracelet and Inglis Challenge – as well as the Inglis Pink Bonuses will remain.

In addition, all yearlings purchased at the Premier Sale can nominate for the lucrative Inglis Race Series, which includes the $2 million Inglis Millennium, the $1 million Inglis Sprint, the $1 million Inglis Pink Bonus - the most lucrative incentive scheme for female racehorse ownership in the world - and the $5 million Inglis Xtra Bonus, which sees 50 $100,000 Bonus payments attached to allocated Maidens.

The Premier Sale has proven to be a bonanza for buyers in recent years and Inglis’ Victorian Bloodstock Manager, James Price, is looking forward to the event.
“One of the many great things about the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale is that it’s an event that anybody can attend,” he said.

“We are blessed in this country whereby the leading participants in our sport are so accessible to the general public and that’s never more evident than at the yearling sales.

“I know it’s been said so often before, but there really has never been a better time to own a racehorse or a share in a racehorse in Australia. The Premier Sale in early March has a rich tradition of producing the best horses including the likes of Black Caviar, Nature Strip, Jameka, Santa Ana Lane and more recently the likes of Everest winner Think About It, Caulfield Guineas winner Griff, Toorak Handicap winner Attrition, Bella Nipotina, I Am Me, Mariamia the list goes on and on.

“The sale has produced 28 Group 1 winners since 2018, 15 of which could have been bought for $100,000 or less. When you talk about value, Think About It cost $70,000 at Premier and has already won $11.3 million from just 13 starts. In addition, Griff cost $80,000 and has won $2.1 million from just eight starts, Bella Nipotina has won $6.1 million off her $80,000 purchase price while Santa Ana Lane cost $80,000 and won $8.2 million across his distinguished career.

“The opportunities are endless and not just at the highest price level.”
