The function of the Jumps Review Panel is, among other things, to provide clear direction regarding matters that the Panel may take into account when considering the qualification of horses to race in jumps races.
The Jumps Review Panel will be taking the following points into account when qualifying a horse:
Competitiveness
Jumping ability
Placing in trial
Fitness
Overall performance and condition
Any other factor the Jumps Review Panel considers relevant in its discretion
Jumps Review Panel
The Jumps Review Panel meets regularly to review the performance of horses and riders in trials and races, consider their suitability for competition, oversee the conduct of jumps racing and provide recommendations to the Racing Victoria Board on the operation of jumps racing.

Jumps Rider Skills Panel
The Jumps Rider Skills Panel is convened upon request of the Jumps Review Panel to review a rider's performance and consider appropriate measures as required.
