Racing Victoria announces Ladbrokes Jockey of the Month award

Racing Victoria (RV), in partnership with Ladbrokes, has announced the launch of a new competition to further reward and recognise the success of Victorian jockeys.

The Ladbrokes Jockey of the Month award will see jockeys win points on a 3-2-1 basis when placing first, second or third in every race run in Victoria.

Double points will be won in all races at Country Cup meetings to enhance the excitement and competition at regional tracks across the state.

Jockeys will claim an additional 1 point for every race ride as part of the competition.

Commencing on Monday, 1 September, each individual competition will take place over one month with the jockey that wins the most points at the conclusion of each month winning $5,000.

The competition will be held during each remaining month of the 2025/26 racing season.

RV has partnered with Ladbrokes to deliver the concept and promote the it across their online channels and during every Ladbrokes-sponsored raceday broadcast on Racing.com.

Fans will enjoy bespoke content throughout the competition including interviews with winning jockeys and insights from Ladbrokes’ stable of legendary former jockeys including Glen Boss and Damien Oliver.
