Racing Victoria (RV) stewards wish to advise that the Tony McEvoy-trained pair Wedgetail and Acerticus, which ran in Heat 2 of the Flemington jump-outs conducted on Thursday, 27 September 2018, were incorrectly identified in the vision published on the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) website.
Stewards can confirm the jockey riding Wedgetail was in fact wearing the traditional McEvoy stable colours with a white cap and finished in second position, while Acerticus’ rider also wore the McEvoy colours but with a blue cap and finished in last place.
Wedgetail is scheduled to run in the opening race at Caulfield tomorrow, the Inglis Debutant stakes.
The colours assigned to each horse have now been updated by the VRC on their website
