With the racetrack at Geelong not yet ready to host a meeting following its recent renovations, the program which had been scheduled there on Tuesday, 13 April has been transferred to Mornington.
The renovated surface has shown great improvement over the past two weeks, but after a recent inspection Racing Victoria (RV) Stewards and Geelong Racing Club officials determined that the track would benefit from more time to allow it to strengthen further, and so the decision was taken to move the meeting to Mornington.
The next meeting scheduled to take place at Geelong is on Tuesday, 20 April, which will proceed as planned.
Having given due consideration to other racing clubs in the region, Mornington was deemed the most suitable transfer option given that after this Sunday’s meeting, it does not host another fixture until Tuesday, 11 May.
As a result of the transfer, there has been a distance change to five of the eight races, with the revised program listed below:
