Racing Victoria (RV) and Country Racing Victoria (RV) advise that the Healesville picnic meeting on Saturday, 20 November 2021 has been abandoned.
Healesville Racecourse has been significantly impacted by storms in the past week with fallen trees damaging infrastructure and facilities, including the female jockeys’ room.
The storm damage is also impacting on the ability for the track, which is currently water-logged after heavy rain, to be suitability prepared for the race meeting.
Healesville is next scheduled to race on Saturday, 11 December 2021 with the necessary repair work to be undertaken in time for that meeting to proceed as programmed.
The 2021-22 picnic racing season will commence this Saturday, 6 November 2021 at Balnarring with meetings also scheduled at Yea (13 November) and Woolamai (27 November) in coming weeks.
RV will monitor acceptances across upcoming meetings and run extra divisions where necessary to accommodate any horses impacted by the abandonment.
