Vale Sharyn Peters

It is with sadness that Racing Victoria acknowledges the passing of Pakenham trainer Sharyn Peters. Peters, 66, was issued a Victorian trainers’ licence in 2002 having previously held a licence in New South Wales for a number of years. She trained 50 winners throughout her career with Prince of Justice and Carolina Kid her most successful horses. Sharyn also spent time in America in the late 1980s where she was a training assistant for top trainer Carl Nafzger.

Racing Victoria (RV) Stewards today inquired into a report from Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL) that a urine sample provided by apprentice jockey Kayla Atkinson after riding trackwork at Caulfield on Monday, 7 December 2020 was found upon analysis to contain substances banned under AR 136.
