Born in 1910, Ken Howard was to become one of the most familiar voices in Australia as the man who brought the colour of Sydney racing to hundreds of thousands of radio listeners throughout the country.

He called for over 40 years and also took his skills overseas, visiting England to call the Derby.

Ken Howard was also famous for his signature phrase "London to a brick on" and for calling races from trees and boxes positioned outside racecourses.

Howard was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002.
