The Wootton family influence on Australia's breeding and racing industry has been remarkable and continues today.

Richard 'Dick' Wootton was a leading trainer in both Australia and England where his son Frank became one of that country's leading jockeys. Dick's son Stanley also had great success as a trainer in England but exerted his major influence on Australian racing when he exported the legendary stallion Star Kingdom, now recognised as the most influential sire line in this country.

The Wootton family bloodlines have also continued successfully with Stanley's daughter Catherine Remond, a leading breeder in her own right having bred the outstanding sprinter Schillaci.

The Wootton family was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2002.
