Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the Picnic meeting scheduled to take place at Yea tomorrow (Saturday, 13 November) has been abandoned due to the state of the track, following significant rainfall over the past 24 hours.
With a total of 32 millimetres of rain having fallen in the area this week, including 20 millimetres over the past 24 hours, the track was deemed unsafe to race when it was inspected by RV Stewards today. With further precipitation predicted for tonight and tomorrow, Stewards took the decision in consultation with club officials to abandon the meeting.
An announcement will be made early next week on whether or not the meeting is rescheduled for a later date.
